Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of public relations in building public trust in Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Bangunsari Ponorogo. Public relations of educational institutions plays a very important role in building community participation. The role of public relations is needed so that something that is planned, its relationship with the community can be carried out properly. In the initial assessment, it was found that in cottage activities involving the community, the community was less enthusiastic in these activities. Facilities and infrastructure for students are not adequate for internal and external activities and the lack of public trust in the boarding school results in the number of students being still small. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, because the author wants to describe and describe the role of public relations in Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Bangunsari Ponorogo. The results of the study show that improving good relations with the community around the Islamic boarding school, increasing cooperation with the guardians of students, improving the infrastructure of Islamic boarding schools, increasing the number of students through public trust.
