JEJAK KONSEP “FA>’IL FI’L LI AL-‘IBA>D” DALAM AQI>DAH Al-ASY’A>RIYAH TERHADAP IBNU ‘ATO>ILLAH AS-SAKANDARI> PADA KATA HIKMAH PERTAMA DI DALAM KITAB AL-H{IKAM

Abstract

The influence of an idea will carry over to a certain perspective on certain fields of science. This fact is as contained in the first word of wisdom in the Sufism book, al-H{ikam which was written by Ibn Ato>illa>h as-Sakandari>. In the word wisdom of the first Sufism from the point of view of faith, it shows the same impression and meaning as one of the concepts of faith al-Asy’ariyah which was built by Abu> al-Hasan al-Asy’ari>. This concept is about the act of the servant. For al-H{ikam, relying on charity/deeds is trapped in wrong choices because this is a sign of a servant's low level of hope for God's grace when a failure is hit. The creator of my charity (fa>'il fi'l li al-'ba>d) is Allah with a variety of colors and forms that are limited to servants. Therefore the choice to determine the direction of life's path is forced and limited to the faith al-Asy’ariyah. Being stuck in an option and direction not depending on Allah is due to the creation of distance from the servant to Allah SWT.
