IJMA’ KOLEKTIF DI MASA MODERN

Abstract

This article wants to explore from the literature perspective the need for ijtihad in modern times with contemporary methods. Where the development of the times makes the dynamics of religion that continues to grow. Problems that in the past have not appeared and are now out, it turns out that from the side of the Shari'a there is no definite legal solution such as online economic transactions. The form of ijtihad, one of which is ijma' which is carried out together in one container, which is commonly referred to as collective ijma'. Collective ijma' is one of the methods used by scholars in responding to the challenges of the times. Collective Ijma' in modern times will be difficult to do if it is still based on the old method. Collective ijma' must be adapted to modern times, but it does not reduce the weight and accuracy of the ijma' method in solving existing problems.
