The focus of the object of study of the science of interpretation is the Qur'an, while in the science of interpretation there are various models of interpretation. Contemporary interpretation is an interpretation that is starting to be popularly used by interpreters at this time. The purpose of this study is to find out contemporary interpretations, history, socio-political conditions, principles, methods, and styles along with the validity of contemporary interpretations. The method used by the author is the descriptive analysis method by analyzing everything related to contemporary interpretations and then presenting it in the form of descriptive text. The results of the study show that contemporary interpretations are more concretely used in this era because they are more contextual. Contextual interpretation began in the late 19th century. several styles of methods used in a contemporary interpretation, namely 'ilmi, madhabi, ilhadi, falsify, and adabi ijtima'i.
